The University of Ladakh celebrated National Science Day on February 28, 2024, by organizing one day workshop cum seminar on 'Hand Holding Workshop for Startups and Industrial Collaboration,'. The event witnessed the large number of participation of farmers of several villages like Shey, Taru, Gangles, Gompa, Horze, Sankar, Thukcha, Phey, Spituk, Tia, Saboo Thiksey, Phyang and Nurla and budding entrepreneurs. The main purpose was to promote collaboration between start-ups, industries, and local farmers with the University of Ladakh in the field of science and technology. Honíble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S. K. Mehta, while welcoming the invited guests and participants, highlighted the significance of fostering collaboration between start-ups and industries in the field of science and technology. The event served as a testament to the University of Ladakh's commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in scientific endeavors. To celebrate National Science Day, parallel events were organized at University of Ladakh, wherein students from various schools, including Delhi Public School, CIBS, Government High School Matho, Jamyang High School, Druk Padma Karpo School, Indus Public School, Ladakh Alchi Institute, Council Model School, and Government Middle School Taru, participated in quiz and painting competitions. A total of 53 students participated in the quiz competition, while 29 students participated in the painting competition, representing different schools of Ladakh.
